We caved in and got my son the drum set for Christmas…with some conditions…like he’ll have to play it in the garage and not while we’re working.
It’s a brand new, bright red/wine colored shiny drum set, similar to the one pictured, which he’s can remove from the boxes in the garage on Christmas morning. Gotta give him something to look forward to. (He’s so excited he’s outside running up and down the driveway as I write this.)
My natural inclination was to say “No” right away…I mean, I have a hard enough time when he’s playing Guitar Hero… tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap…but being The Law of Attraction student/teacher that I am…I said…”let’s think about it and see how you can create what you want…if not for Christmas…maybe next year!”
Well, being the powerful manifestor that he is…he created it for Christmas.
Many of these Law of Attraction parenting tricks I learned (such as asking him to come up with ideas on how he could manifest what he wants instead of immediately shutting out all possibilities) I got from interviewing 10 amazing conscious parents for my Parenting: Law of Attraction Style program.
I wish I would have started earlier teaching my kids this stuff…but hey. As a parent I keep evolving. Raising children and teenagers is definitely one of the biggest challenges of my life…it makes you grow.
